Group Benefits Administrator

As a Group Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for the comprehensive administration and management of our group benefits plans. This role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, providing exceptional customer service to clients and their employees, and supporting the development and implementation of new benefits plans.

You’ll Get To…

  • Administer group life, health, and savings plans, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all group benefits plans.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Provide timely and effective support to clients and their employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new group benefits plans.

  • Prepare and distribute benefits communications, including plan summaries, newsletters, and updates.

  • Collaborate with insurance carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve benefits-related issues.

  • Conduct regular audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure best practices in benefits administration.

  • Coordinate and conduct benefits orientation sessions and training for clients and their employees.

  • Generate and analyze reports related to benefits utilization, costs, and trends.

  • Provide recommendations for improving benefits administration processes and enhancing client satisfaction.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related role.

  • Professional designations such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Group Benefits Associate (GBA), or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) are highly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of group life, health, and savings plans, including regulatory requirements and industry standards.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and benefits administration software.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Analytical skills and the ability to generate and interpret benefits-related reports.

  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in benefits administration.

  • Experience with benefits communications and employee training programs is a plus.

  • Strong proficiency and understanding of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software such as Salesforce.

  • Availability during business hours (8:30AM to 4:30PM EDT) to work a 37.5 hour work week Monday to Friday.

Cash Compensation Range (CAD)

  • $45,000 - $60,000

  • The base cash compensation (salary) for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, licensing, and professional industry accreditation, among other factors.

  • In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions, bonuses and/or overtime pay).
